As Field Supervisor for the Backfeed project, I played a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing the data collection activities aimed at gathering valuable insights within the agricultural community. My responsibilities encompassed a diverse range of tasks, including prearranging visits with farmers, delegating tasks to enumerators, ensuring data quality through meticulous review, organizing team meetings, and fostering a collaborative team environment.Effective communication and planning were essential to ensure the smooth execution of fieldwork and to optimize productivity. Once on the field, I was responsible for deploying enumerators to various households and allocating responsibilities to ensure comprehensive coverage. This required strategic decision-making to maximize efficiency and ensure that all targeted households were included in the data collection process. One of my key responsibilities was to review the data collected by enumerators using SurveySolutions, a critical tool for ensuring the accuracy and coherence of our findings. I examined each questionnaire, checking for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information. In addition to data review, I also organized and facilitated team meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and strategize for the week ahead. By fostering open communication and collaboration, I aimed to create a positive and productive team dynamic that contributed to the overall success of the project. By promoting a sense of ownership and accountability among team members, I sought to maintain high levels of motivation and commitment throughout the project. Furthermore, I was responsible for resolving any conflicts or issues that arose within the team or during fieldwork.in doing this, I aimed to maintain a positive working environment and ensure that team morale remained high.
