Flatbush Holiday Accommodation is a busy 48 room accommodation facility which is called a Hotel in a Home. It is unique in NZ and is based on a European model. As a business owner/director, I set up this business from scratch and oversaw the business and carry out other tasks such as developing the business strategy, creating and implementing marketing plans, setting up the digital advertising and online visibility of the business and ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service. The business has grown to sales of $1.8m. When the boarders opened after COVID, the business needed to reset and the existing skeleton staff were not able to cope with the demand, so I came into the business full time from January 2023 to set up the processes, recruit new staff and get the business set up again for the future. I no longer need to work in the business.
