    I took on a project to plan, devise and deliver a series of workshops for ABC journalists focusing on reaching new audiences in the digital space. While initial plans would have seen a number of topics covered in a longer face-to-face session, the global pandemic meant I had to quickly adapt this content to work in shorter training sessions that could be delivered via Zoom. From August to October I delivered 49 workshops focused on conversational tone, capitalising on the opportunities of search engines to reach audiences and explainer writing to more than 240 participants. I'm incredibly proud of the effort I put into these workshops and the positive feedback I've received from colleagues who attended and managers who oversaw the direction of the project.

    Front page editing is one of a number of shifts I rotate through in my role as an experienced digital producer in the newsroom. I enjoyed a month-long stint dedicated solely to FP duties in March, which gave me the chance to hone my headline-writing skills, improve CTR from the news home page and contribute to the ABC's front page strategy document.
