    I lead our region operationally to successfully deliver the Scottish Government's youth employability strategy in Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian under the Young Person's Guarantee. I coach a team of mangers, with oversight of a wider team of 20 school-based Coordinators across 3 local authorities, to achieve all agreed Scottish Government KPIs and outputs, leading the team in development, performance review and management. In collaboration with key sector partners, I effected a new approach to engaging with at-risk groups and in particular young people with a range of Additional Support Needs to lead our region in becoming experts in this area. I secured additional funding to provide training on supporting young people with Additional Support Needs for the full management and School Coordinator team. I represent the DYW Regional Group at regional and national operational forums, forging and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the region within the Business and Education communities. Work with partners, employer-led groups and wider work streams to drive collaboration, identify opportunities for development, deliver regional and local impact and plan for sustainability. Record & track impact and produce reports for Working Groups and Scottish Government KPI Reporting alongside the Regional Director.

    Managed a team of school-based DYW Coordinators, supporting the performance and delivery of KPIs aligned to these roles which involves developing and implementing a programme of employer engagement aimed at enhancing the curriculum and increasing pupils’ career awareness and skills development through pupil-focused delivery, partnerships and networks and monitoring and review. Supported the delivery of a programme of work to effect real change around youth opportunities and greater employer engagement in this process.

I managed the transformational change of the volunteer journey and the support provided to volunteers, creating a new strategy to shape the volunteer experience, including a review of feedback & impact data across my volunteer teams.
