    A large part of my business involves audio engineering for film, video and webcasts. I consult in the fields of historic preservation, museums and media production with a focus on maritime matters and federal and state regulation. The activities are very diverse ranging from writing and recording sound for a documentary on African Culture to representing the Sail Training Industry in the process to make A.D.A. rules for passenger vessels.I hold a U.S.C.G. Master Mariner License (100 Ton Near Coastal, Steam, Motor or Auxiliary Sail) fifth issue. I have served in the deck department on Sprirt of Massachussetts, Dove, Elissa, Gazela of Philadelphia (2nd Mate). I was Captain of the schooner Mistress out of Camden, ME in 1988 and worked for three years (1989-92) as a charter/delivery captain for Bahama Yachting Services/SunSail, the Moorings and others in St. Maarten, N.A. In the summer of 2012 I made a 29-day single-handed passage from Baltimore Md. to Baltimore, Co. Cork, Ireland.

    I facilitated and supervised the restoration of USS Constellation, the last surviving Civil War naval vessel afloat. It was at the time the largest maritime restoration project in North America at a price of $9 million with a restoration staff of 50.

    I grew this specialty bar association from 1,200 to 5,000 members and moved it to Washington, D.C. where it continues to work on behalf of fairness, efficacy and justice. I also edited "The Champion," the only glossy magazine for criminal defense lawyers and served on the faculty of the National College for Criminal Defense.
