The Capital Area Transportation Coalition (CATC) was an organization of business and community leaders who sought to identify and implement mobility solutions for Austin and the Central Texas region. CATC identified regional transportation system requirements and served as an independent catalyst for action to meet those needs. The organization dissolved in July 2009. Central Texas transportation achievements facilitated by CATC during its tenure included the creation of the Central Texas Turnpike Project and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, getting 110 miles of highway on the ground in Central Texas, and funding of the HERO emergency roadside assistance program on IH-35.As Deputy Director, I managed financial operations, membership services, document management, database administration, communications, and public relations.
