To design and model the technique of power transfer from ground power source to the aircraft power source with minimal power transient and minimal power interruption during starting phase of the engine on an aircraft. The technique involves tracking the phase angles and amplitude of the voltage between two power sources of an aircraft and switch when phase difference is minimal and voltage amplitude is near equal, thus reducing the power transients. The aircraft generators are first started using the GPU. It is highly recommended that during the power transfer from GPU to the Aircraft generators power interruptions must be avoided. When the voltage magnitude and phase angle relationship between the initial source and the primary aircraft source is within specified limits, the sources are ready for a no-break power transfer.

May 2011 - Jul 2011
10 weeksDescription:Extensive study of various avionics systems such as flight control systems, flight management systems, communication and navigational systems, Cabin Systems and display systems flight critical and safety awareness systems. Avionics also encompasses a range of mission critical avionics, including electrical systems, power systems, environment systems, fire protection systems, test systems, hydraulics, landing gear and in-flight entertainment.Extensive study on Antilock Braking System of an aircraft which enables the control system to provide a suitable platform for enabling the pilot in more accurate control of aircraft deceleration, preferably still maintaining a differential braking capability. It also prevents unnecessary antiskid operation at all speeds, and which facilitates a soft onset of brake torque..Courses Attended:Duration: 15 days- Attended the FLIGHT TEST LAB course conducted by IIT (KANPUR).Conducted experiments to study the conditions and behavior of the aircraft during various maneuvers like Climb, Cruise, Descent, Turn and side slip. The various modes like dutch roll, phugoid and stall modes were studied. Experienced a manual flight which demonstrated the above mentioned maneuvers and modes.

Job DescriptionWas maintaining and monitoring Enterprise and Blackberry servers for Microland clients. Being the first point of contact to the US/UK/Asia clients, I used to handle their queries related to emails and blackberry services. Was monitoring the status of servers at different locations, raise a ticket and alert my technical team to resolve the issues with the server.Handling clients through chats, calls and emails inbound and outbound.

Microcontroller based Street Light Controller
-
Feb 2009 - Apr 2009
Company: Microcore Solutions, BangaloreDescription: Microcontroller Controls all the operation of the Circuit. The intensity of the day light is sensed through the LDR sensor. The Output Voltage of the LDR sensor is given to an Analog to digital converter Circuit. This would in turn convert the sensed value to digital format that can be processed by the micro controller. The micro controller checks the sensed value if it's below the threshold, then it would send signals to the RF transmitter. This would send signal to the receiving end that light have to be turned on or off. Based on the LDR sensor input the microcontroller decides whether to switch on the street lights or not. For switching on the lights the microcontroller generates a hex number and transmits through the RF transmitter. This signal acts like the control word for the switching action. In case of Cloudy Day the Control word can be transmitted by just pushing a key at the transmitter end. This switch is also known as manual control key. Whenever the switch is used the device is said to be working in manual mode. Since there are two mode's it is very efficient method to monitor street light Duration: 3 months - Conducted as a part of 8th semester (final semester of engineering) Curriculum
