    This is the role that cemented my skills for coaching and mentoring others. Collaboration, support and listening and questioning skills.With responsibility for over 100 volunteers in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, I spend a lot of time both learning from and supporting them. I worked with them to place them in roles that would be challenging and rewarding for them. I talked through situations in their mentoring roles to enable them to provide the best support to their young people. I developed and delivered training and organised regional conferences.In addition, I supported young people in a similar way. I had the privilege of coaching young people to find a solution to a problem or the decide on an option that felt right for them, giving them encouragement to believe in themselves.
