The mission to educate, engage and empower each student to succeed in a dynamic world is achieved through its five strategic goals of Student, School, Talent, Organization, and Outreach Excellence.DoDEA is responsible for providing a quality education for more than 86,000 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students for the eligible minor family members of Department of Defense military and civilian personnel on official assignments in schools located in 12 foreign countries, seven states, Guam and Puerto Rico. In my current role as Chief of Curriculum, I:◦Direct a program segment of the Education Directorate which provides highly complex professional, administrative and technical services vital to the organization’s mission. The services have an extensive impact on professional and education technology programs throughout DoDEA and program expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.◦Provide authoritative advice and guidance to DoDEA senior officials on all matters related to the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curricular program areas for the organization.◦Formulate plans and provide managerial expertise for a wide variety of curricular and support programs aligned to the organization’s mission.◦Develop, coordinate, and integrate educational programs, goals and other activities within and among the curriculum and support branches.◦Provide program evaluation and analysis for new and/or existing curricular initiatives.
