Project Manager
-
Apr 2006 - May 2009
I have conceptualized complex landscape projects from initial stages, through completion. I have been involved in a multitude of design processes; including initial inventory, site analysis, master planning, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction detailing (including custom sculptures, site furniture, play apparatus, and miscellaneous artistic elements), all construction document phases, and contract administration. As a Project Manager, I was introduced to many design, administration, and management tasks. Primary responsibilities include coordination with other design disciplines and clients; management and mentoring of production staff, project scheduling, managing correspondence, compiling progress reports, execution of and participation in progress and public meetings with park planners, program managers, stakeholders, and general public for program input and approval, coordinating the applications for construction permitting and overseeing the coordination for a variety of other city, county and utility permits, and finally, marketing, billing and proposals.

Aug 2005 - Apr 2006
As a Project Coordinator for J.W. Zunino and Associates, my responsibilities to the firm included assisting the Principal and Project Managers with various landscape design projects including commercial, custom residential, university and public projects. I assist the Project Managers by producing drawings in AutoCAD ranging from corrections of drawings through red-line review, preliminary planting plans, schematic irrigation plans, landscape details, specifications, conceptual and hardscape plans to construction documents. I assist with various graphics projects in the firm by using Photoshop, and Sketchup software; as well as hand renderings. I also participate in office charettes and status meetings with various clients.

Habitat Restoration/ Environmental Assistant
-
1998 - 2005
My work with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation began in May 1999 as a secretarial clerk while I was attending college. I worked in a variety of offices, gaining experience in each, and eventually, in June 2003, I was given the opportunity to work in an office where I could gain experience in my chosen degree and profession with the Natural Resources Division. As an Environmental Assistant for the Habitat Restoration Team, my responsibilities included, working in an office and field environment assisting the Environmental Biologists and Landscape Architect with design, organizational and planning tasks. Design includes the assistance of designing brochures, interpretive kiosks and staging areas for the Habitat Restoration Program and in partnership with other outside agencies. Organizational tasks include the filing and maintenance of the Administrative Records Files for the Multi-Species Conservation Plan (MSCP). Planning includes the collection of native seed in the field for planting in the habitat restoration sites, as well as field plant identification and research on our sites during the summer months.
