It also entails reducing the sale price of items near their expiration date, or removing items past that date. This needs a key eye for detail but moreover an element of speed and teamwork as there's a lot to cover in limited time.

    I worked in Morrison's Head office for my placement year. During this experience I received huge personal development, including boosted confidence and improved communicate skills at meeting and presentations. I also received praise on my professionalism, understanding and relationships with other colleagues. I had to deal with situations of extreme pressure in the busy periods like Christmas, where I was heavily involved in major projects. I also had a massive involvement in their current new automated purchase ordering system, this is where I demonstrated great teamwork, communication and shown excellent initiative, creating my own operational screen for everyone in supply chain. I did data analysis on the performance of a new store’s ordering and sales forecast, and gave on demand statistical evidence of situations within the business, using Excel and SQL skills.
