The project development objective is to provide access to income opportunities and temporary employment to the poor and vulnerable households and strengthen safety nets delivery systems through;a. public works plus (conditional cash transfers) including complementary activities like entrepreneurial skills, WASH trainings and early childhood development and nutrition messaging;b. Direct income support (unconditional cash transfers) targeting HHs who are labour constrainedc. Strengthening safety net delivery systems The project is targeting the most vulnerable segments of the South Sudanese population benefiting in excess of 65 thousand beneficiary HH in more than 15 vulnerable locations across the country

    I was leading the RREP project which is West Africa’s largest renewable energy mini-grids project with the aim of extending electricity supply and promoting economic development in rural areas of Sierra Leone covering nearly 500,000 people. The project is contributing to Sierra Leone's economic development through increased access to rural energy resources while simultaneously contributing to a significant reduction in the country’s future Green House Gas emissions

    I was accountable for the complete project lifecycle, project initiation documents (PID), legal agreements to people management, stakeholder relations and project delivery.Key Contributions: I took a failing initiative and turned it into an Innovation Award winner in 2018. I brought in additional $40M funding.  I also saved several partnerships between client and key donors.The project was a Safety Net and Skills Development initiative of the Government of the Republic of South Sudan which was supported by the World Bank (WB) to address existing challenges of soaring levels of poverty, vulnerability, unemployment and idleness, particularly amongst youth. It focused on facilitating access to income opportunities and temporary employment to 35167 most vulnerable HHs

    I provided crucial support to country offices in Lebanon and Somalia, enabling efficient and effective conditional cash distribution as well as unconditional multipurpose cash assistance distribution via different modalities e.g. debit cards.Key Contributions: I equipped two country offices with cash transfer capacity. My efforts enabled the project reach out and award:— conditional cash for education to 500 Syrian refugee children in Lebanon and 100 in Somalia. — unconditional multipurpose cash assistance to 1,000 households in Beqaa and 1,100 in Somalia.  I increased CTP capacity by 30% preparedness by 50% and portfolio size by 20% I also institutionalised market- and systems-based response analysis, multi-sector CTP approaches, tools, methodologies and procedures within RI. I introduced Cash Assistance (CA) best practices and proposed mechanisms for assistance to children, CTP streamlined team structure, and CFE program implementation methods.

    I developed regional and country strategies to address 10,318 households affected by Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) crisis. This secured quality assurance across all initiatives, including reporting. I also took advantage of the opportunity to conduct feasibility studies, including Emergency Market Map Assessment (EMMA) and Household Economy Analysis (HEA).Key Contributions: I forged partnerships with donors, INGO's and government stakeholders.  I was able to secure $4M in additional funding, enough to support 10,318 households. I spearheaded innovative digital platforms such as mobile money and electronic data management.  I also pioneered tracking and payment systems like KOBO and Segovia.

This called for frequent communications with major donors regarding evaluation findings and project progress.Key Contributions: I launched tools for effective planning, implementation, monitoring, assessments, and capacity building I tested the market for cash feasibility and transfer value, applying EMMA. I enforced budget and grants compliance.  I introduced project management tools like PDM, EMMA, reporting templates, etc. I was also a valuable member of Consortium Technical Oversight and Planning Unit.

    I launched the WFP funded emergency health and nutrition program by onboarding a new team and setting our new location.Key Contributions: I was able to identify project beneficiaries and the nature of support needed within a month.  My efforts enabled the distribution of supplementary feeding (CSB, cereals, oil and pulses) and health education to 1,500 pregnant and lactating mothers, People living with TB, HIV and AUDS as well as children under five years of age.

    I was the technical led for DRR and all trainings which were conducted for a multi million dollar USAID food security and livelihoods consortium program which was implemented together with CRS, ACDI VOCA and 4 local partners. The program was implemented in 8 locations with over 150000 beneficiaries. I was responsible for coordinating and training staff and vulnerable farmers in disaster risk reduction, conservation agriculture, farming as business, value chains, improved livestock and crop production techniques, Village savings and lending (VS&L), while mainstreaming Gender and HIV and AIDS in all the interventions including managing budget lines for these components. This was a technical post and hence I had no staff directly under my supervision. I also identified and assessed training needs for staff, communities, stakeholders and implementing partners and design, plan and produce in-house and external training materials to develop potential among stakeholders. Among other things, I amended and revised training materials to adapt to changes and evaluate training materials developed by other staff members.

    Managed two multi million euro Food security and livelihoods projects funded by the EU and OCHA in six districts/location with 98000 beneficiaries with 6 staff members. I was responsible for improving the livelihood security of communities through crop production (established 150 community gardens), distribution of inputs, community gardens, sweet potato and cassava production, Internal savings and lending, small livestock production, conservation farming, sustainable harvesting of natural resources and community training on nutrition. I was also responsible for managing sub grants for the partners involved in the project (PumpAid Zimbabwe – for elephant pumps and SAFIRE – for non-timber forestry products). I was responsible for overall management, proposal development, technical oversight, MEAL, staff management and development, budget management, grants compliance, donor reporting and representation of the organisation with donors.

    I was responsible for agronomic technical support through provision of agronomy technical advice to 7 districts locations for 4 food security and livelihoods projects with more than 160000 beneficiaries. These projects were funded by DFID, OCHA, UNICEF and EU (that is PRP, FOSIL, OVC and JI projects). I was responsible for staff and partner training, recommending crop varieties (field/garden crops) that suit the ecological zones and of various garden activities support through provision of horticultural technical advice to 7 districts, making recommendations on vegetable varieties, low cost gardening techniques as well as seasonality/cropping calendars that meet market peaks under CARE operations. I was also responsible for setting up of demo plots on various farming technologies that contribute to improved crop production by rural communities. I also worked closely and maintained a strong working relationship with research institutions (national/international), universities, other NGOs and Government line ministries throughout the programme. I was also responsible for certifying that all monitoring and progress reports are submitted timely to supervisors and ensured that all contractual obligations were met related to agronomy of field crop objectives and outputs. I also participated in supervision of junior staff and team building for effective implementation of the programme. I was also responsible for technical backstopping of any agricultural related proposal development.
