      The purpose of the "Eat Smart, Live Longer" club is to educate and motivate members (over 500 dues paying members and growing!) to eat a whole foods, plant-strong diet so they can improve their lives and avoid or minimize common chronic health conditions as well as avoid or reduce medications.We believe it is important that all of our members see the 2011 documentary, "Forks Over Knives" because it provides the science behind the purpose of the club. The major storyline in this 90-minute film traces the personal journeys of a pair of pioneering researchers, Dr. T. Colin Campbell of Cornell and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn of Cleveland Clinic and explains quite clearly how most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict our society can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods.Our general membership monthly meetings are on the 3rd Thursday at 7 pm in Pinckney Hall.
