Responsible for ensuring HR objectives are achieved and best practices implemented to meet the people requirements of the Authority and to enhance productivity and promote excellence in services.- As per new PCC work methodology (since July 2016) to refocus work processes and proactively support business leaders with sound HR advice to strengthen the implementation of best practices and ensure service excellence which aspire to international standards;- Develop strategic plan for HR and cascading to individual staff plans;- Formulate, implement, manage, disseminate HR Policies and gather staff comments for policy review and feedback;- Ensure internal processes are reviewed and aligned to best practices to improve output efficiencies;- Strengthen employee relations and wellness and support the development of a positive work environment;- Handle staff mediation and arbitration matters with Legal support;- Manage staff contract renewal processes and documentation; - Coach, mentor and guide HR team for maximum performance;- Promote an innovative and learning culture;- Coordinate the development of the staff excellence awards framework; - Manage and review staff benefits including the initial review of staff medical scheme;- Collation of HR data to assist with Dashboard metrics for Director and Board decision papers;- Coordinate with Finance Team the FRCA’s participation in the Fiji Government Compensation Benchmarking Survey 2016 facilitated by the World Bank;- Handle FRCA’s participation in the UN Comprehensive Salary Survey 2016 facilitated by UN Fiji Office in collaboration with Finance Team; - Coordinate the development of project plan for the review of HR System;- Facilitate staff and professional development appointments;- Provide regular HR reports and KPI updates to executive management;- Participate and present at careers expos with universities and educational institutes.
