Ridham dock biomass power plant
I am currently employed as the site quality manager and inspector for the client (mvv umvelt) on a new build biomass power project plant based in Kent. My role is to oversee the EPC contracting company and their sub-contractors make sure they are working to the standards and specifications required on site. If there are any issues with, welding, painting, structural construction and civil works and safety, I then discuss issues found and then proceed to raise non-conformance reports to the EPC contractor if required. I also advise on any corrective actions that are required and relevant issues that may arise. I also review completed NDT reports, welding logs and any relevant documentation before hydro testing can be performed and review any final documentation that may have been completed. I also witness and review any hold points stated on the sub contractors Inspection and test plans. As part of my remit I also travel to sub-contractors factories in Europe to carry out inspections before components are delivered to site, the components include but not limited to is, pipework, duct work, vessels, steel structures, once the inspection visit is complete I then raise a report on my findings
