    I pioneered EY’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) / Environmental Social Governance (ESG) role for the Americas practice of over 30 countries, 180 offices, 75,000 employees and $17B in revenue. For over a decade, I engaged with multiple stakeholders (C-suite / Global and Americas Executive Board members, employees, clients, vendors) to set the course for EY’s ESG journey. Capitalizing on emergent opportunities in the dynamic ESG arena, I drove the professional services sector’s demand for sustainable (LEED) commercial office space, initiated a substantial energy efficiency project in EY’s US headquarters, spearheaded renewable energy investment in two large-scale windfarms, initiated climate risk scenario planning, harmonized EY’s sustainability reporting efforts globally and published an award-winning sustainability report for EY Americas.

    As the CEO of EY’s Global Services Center in India, I transformed the firm’s service delivery model and scaled its offshore workforce, growing headcount 10x. I established new operating models and go-to-market practices that catapulted extraordinary growth in the depth and breadth of service offerings. The Center laid the foundation for EY’s backbone of global capabilities which remains the catalyst for billions of dollars of continued growth today. In addition to these business successes, on a personal level, I was proud that the job creation elevated thousands of Indians into the middle class.

    In this role, I was a leader in a large-scale reengineering effort that addressed every aspect of EY’s tax compliance operations, transforming professional services delivery at EY. I was named the Implementation Leader for the new business processes and enabling tools, responsible for deploying them across the US, in over 100 offices.
