As a Sales Operations Manager (SOM), I was responsible for resolving complex operational issues associated with the selling of annuities products, often requiring cross-functional team collaboration both internally and with strategic partners. Working with company executives, I created educational content for company to present at industry organization events of varying sizes and audiences. I am especially proud of co-developing the Retirement Division's training for cross-functional teams explaining the Department of Labor fiduciary ruling, including coaching of presenters and coordination of presentation logistics across national offices.

Restoration Industry Association (RIA): International Membership & Events Development Coordinator
-
Mar 2014 - Jun 2016
With RIA, I was primarily responsible for setting and implementing international membership development strategies. Working with RIA's Canadian Council and newly formed Australian Steering Committee, we created and executed international membership development and engagement strategies to increase RIA's international presence in Canada and Oceania. In the first six months of the new membership engagement programs in Canada and Oceania, including establishing partnerships with local industry associations and the publication of region-specific best practices and regulatory guidance, we achieved a 150% increase in Oceania membership and 25% increase in Canadian membership.

Bank Insurance and Securities Association (BISA): Regulatory Affairs & Development Coordinator
-
Aug 2013 - Jun 2016
My primary duties on BISA related to building our Regulatory & Compliance Program, and raising BISA's industry visibility as a leader in thought leadership and networking. I worked with our members on both the product and distributor sides of the industry to develop mutually beneficial relationships that provide marketing and educational opportunities for our members while also increasing the association's annual revenue and membership value. One of my most gratifying achievements was leading the redevelopment strategy for BISA's regulatory and compliance educational and networking program. In August 2014, we created a Regulatory and Compliance Advisory Board (RCAB) made of eight legal and consulting firms specializing in R&C for the financial services industry. Working with the RCAB and program executives and chief compliance officers from our member institutions, we now provide comprehensive, year-round R&C education and networking opportunities in a multi-media format, including a quarterly print publication, a weekly digital newsletter, monthly round tables, and two conferences per year. Thanks to this year-round activism, the program doubled in size in one year: the Regulatory and Compliance Committee (RCC) now represents over 50 of the largest financial services providers in the US, and our annual Regulatory and Compliance Summit increased attendance of both program executives and compliance officers by 26% in 2015. One compliance officer from a long-time member institution even said that the new program has produced the best BISA R&C events he's ever attended. In addition to my work with our R&C program, I was responsible for engaging and developing our membership. In the three years I worked for the association, we brought in over $250,000 in new membership revenue thanks to our increased membership engagement opportunities.
