    Led 106 assigned personnel providing fuel and cryogenic support for all base aviation and ground fuel requirements. Established effective quality control, safety, environmental compliance and personnel training programs and developed and executed contingency plans to support wing’s combat mission. Managed the Air Force’s 4th largest fuels account, $102M net sales in 2003, and propelled the unit to wining the prestigious 2003 American Petroleum Institute Award as best fuels flight in the United States Air Force.

    Oversaw planning operations to support humanitarian relief operations in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. Conducted site visits and worked with local aviation fuel vendors at commercial airports on fuel support options for airlift support. Developed site plans for airports throughout sub-Saharan Africa and worked with EUCOM and DLA Energy - Europe on an Africa Fuels Initiative, designed to establish fuel capability at six main operating bases in Africa.

    Responsible for the functional management of fuel facilities valued at $172M at 21 locations across the United States. Screened and prioritized repair projects and provided recommendations to the Command Fuels Engineer. Performed facility sustainment, site activation task force and environmental compliance visits. As the Team Chief for Petroleum and Storage Tank Management, conducted environmental compliance inspections at Air Force locations within the United States and in foreign countries. Collaborated with Civil Engineers and the Defense Logistics Agency to fund and prioritize projects to upgrade underground storage tank systems to comply with EPA mandates, which resolved potential mission impact and prevented enforcement action from regulatory officials.
