I have about 45 years experience technical writing (20%) and copy editing (80%). Currently, I have completed a 74,000-word show business novel. It's based on my three years research and experience acting in TV commercials as a member of Screen Actors Guild, having one play produced, and doing many showcases as a standup comic during the mid-1970s. After that, I joined the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, where I soon became a full-time expert at helping scientists, engineers, and administrators improve their technical presentations. Retirement came in early July 2006. Since then, I have focused on writing my first novel and currently am sending query letters to literary agents.

Left AGED to do similar work for North American Aviation's Autonetics Division, Anaheim, California, from 1963 to 1968. After that, worked as all-purpose general writer and editor for Isaacs-Dobbs Systems, a small computer startup company, Westwood, California, for one year (1968-1969). After IDS, joined Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena (1969-1973). Then came an inspiration to write a novel about show business as it's experienced in Hollywood. Spent three years researching (as noted above). After I ran out of money and gained sore wrists from writing hundreds of pages of notes, I moved north to join Lawrence Livermore Laboratory as a tech writer/editor (1976-2006). The University of California had administered LLL when I worked there. Thus I have a UC pension for my 30 years at LLL. During my retirement, I gathered all those hundreds of note pages plus profound memories and wrote my completed show business novel.
