    Primary skills learned from this experience: Attended to all elderly parent's daily needs, including twice-daily hygiene routine, dressing, and undressing. Assisted walking, wheelchair transportation, attendance to all medical appointments, and outings when able. Transfer from bed to chair using a hoist and vice-versa, rolling in a bed using slip sheets, pressure sore care. The administration of medication and feeding and watering through a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube (PEG) three times daily using a syringe and latterly using a slow-release Nutricia Flocare Infinity machine.
