Gegenwärtig gibt es sechs Forschungsgruppen am Institut. Zudem besteht eine exzellente Infrastruktur für biomolekulare Forschung. Dank der Entwicklung neuer Technologien und deren anschliessender Patentierung für biomedizinische Anwendungen, sind mehrere Spin-off-Firmen aus dem Biochemischen Institut heraus entstanden.Unsere LehreUnser Institut bildet Studierende der Naturwissenschaften und Medizin, sowie Doktoranden und Postdoktoranden in Biochemie aus. Unser Ausbildungsangebot reicht von Vorlesungen und Seminaren über Praktika bis zur individuellen Betreuung von Forschungsprojekten. Es ist unser Ziel, unsere Studenten auf eine erfolgreiche akademische oder andere berufliche Laufbahn vorzubereiten.
