I trained as an architect in the UK, Århus in Denmark and, after working in both Malaysia and Scandinavia, joined WTA in 2004. With design experience working across sectors, my strength lies in designing site sensitive developments through the management of stakeholders and engagement with collaborators, successfully navigating public consultation and statutory authorities to pilot proposals through the planning process. I am a judge for the prestigious Wood Awards which aims to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design using wood in construction. A passionate advocate for low carbon architecture, throughout my career I have developed projects and concepts that push boundaries and change mindsets. From the pioneering Murray Grove, which altered the global perception of CLT, to more recently collaborating with Swan Housing to develop their proprietary modular system and also delivering the concept for a visionary project in Norway to create a zero carbon community of 1,600 homes and a cultural hub on Store Lungegårdsvann lake in Bergen. I bring a keen eye for detail and sense of craftsmanship to all my projects, introducing human centric design elements that add moments of joy as exemplified by our Arsta housing development in Stockholm, Sweden. Creatively minded, collaborative by nature and commercially savvy, I increasingly oversees the most complex and visionary regeneration projects within the office.
