    K&C Silviculture is a forestry seedling nursery. When I started they produced 7 million seedlings per year. When I left they were producing 34 million seedlings per year. I started as general labour in the maintenance and production departments. After one year I accepted a posting for cultural duties. One year later I accepted the position of Assistant Production Manager. I became the Production Manager one year later. I held this position for the duration of my employment with K & C.I was responsible for the planning, training, implementation and management of a seasonal production staff with a payroll of over 1.3 million dollars and was responsible for supplies and material contracts of over 2 million dollars.Addition duties included: : Chairing, designing and implementing of the Health and Safety Program (for 200 plus employees) : co-responsible for the company network, computers and website.During my time with K&C, I not only had the opportunity to take many courses on a wide variety of subjects but to re-teach them to other employees. These courses covered a wide range of topics such as:: “Training the Trainer”: “Labour Management From a Legal View Point”: “Workers Compensation Claims Management”: “Stress Recognition and Prevention”: “How to Deal With Difficult People”: various courses from Workman Compensation Board of B.C. such as “Health and Safety” “Health and Safety Committee courses” “Review Board Appeal” “Claim Management” “Workplace Ergonomics” and many other courses dealing with training, managing and dealing with people and employees
