    As Laboratory Manager, I have overseen a staff of approximately 28 employees, closed down one off-site lab, including selling off surplus equipment, done all monthly scheduling for the remaining three labs, ordered all supplies for these labs, purchased new equipment, overseen the renewals of all service contracts, negotiated reduced pricing from vendors, developed yearly budgets for all 3 labs, negotiated reference lab contracts, interviewed and hired all new personnel, been responsible for all lab employee yearly performance evaluations, oversight for COLA (Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation) & CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) licensing, passed 9 COLA inspections, recently installed Orchard Harvest Laboratory Information System (LIS) to interface with newly acquired Athena EMR, added new PCR technology, attended weekly Clinical Manager’s meetings and monthly Department Supervisor meetings, and was asked to be the Great Falls Clinic representative to Leadership Great Falls for the 2011-2012 class year.     As Hematology Supervisor, I was in charge of all calibration, QC, crossover studies, trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, proficiency testing and staff training for all Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Banking, and Urinalysis instruments at the Main Lab facility. In addition, I oversaw the installation of 2 new Coulter HmX’s at 2 of our satellite labs, and was in charge of reviewing all monthly QC for those 2 labs as well. I also did the yearly standing orders for Hematology supplies for 5 labs, and the Coagulation yearly standing orders for 2 labs, including the correlations between those 2 instruments for INR reagent lot changes, and oversaw yearly competency testing of approximately 15 techs performing hematology testing. I attended all bone marrow procedures and assisted the Oncologists in preparing, packaging, and shipping these specimens.
