During the past 20 years as President/CEO, I have led the growth of Summit Credit Union in South Central and Southeastern Wisconsin from $210 million to $5 billion in assets. Membership grew to more than 220,000 members and our network of branches expanded from four locations to 48. With my teams, we created a real estate branch concept and forged several cooperative initiatives with other credit unions. We are also known for our innovation, including our national model for credit union lobbies through the award-winning “Inspiration Branch,” which uses 3-D experiential design to rekindle members’ dreams.Recently, Summit earned the designation as the Number One mortgage lender in Wisconsin, which builds on our standing as the Number One provider of Small Business Administration loans among Wisconsin credit unions for 10 consecutive years.Summit Credit Union during my tenure has won dozens of awards for best credit union to do business with, best training programs, best place to work and many other categories. Customers show up their appreciation with consistent Net Promoter Scores in the 60% range compared to a 15% average in for banks and 30% average in credit unions. As co-founder of STAR Credit Union, the only kids' credit union in the country, I believe that financial education is very important in improving members' financial lives and their communities, In 2019, our efforts were recognized with the Wisconsin Governor's Legacy Award, the fourth in a string of the Wisconsin Governor's Financial Literacy Awards. I guided our organization through seven mergers and two name changes while maintaining high employee satisfaction scores as measured by an outside firm. Work culture and diversity are priorities for me. In 2021, Summit was recognized as a local and national Top Workplace in the Wisconsin State Journal-Energage competition.
