    As a Student Media Mentor, I assist students, faculty, and staff in the use of media creation hardware and software for academic and personal use. I teach myself and others to use programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. I'm also in charge of the maintenance and renting of equipment such as video cameras, Go Pros, and microphones. Student Media Mentors such as myself are service-oriented students with effective communication skills, attention to detail, and patience.

  • Living Writers Researcher

    The student(s) hired will read at least one work by each of 10 writers and discuss them in bi-weekly meetings with faculty advisor/. They will do research at the library and online to assemble reviews, articles, biographies, and other supplemental materials on each Living Writers text and author. They will attend regular meetings of Living Writers team, including representatives from IT, Communications, and Alumni Affairs. Staff an informationl table over Reunion Weekend in early June. They will populate the Living Writers website with materials about writers and texts as well as on-campus faculty and staff. They will work closely with Communications staff to qeue up social media alerts for use in the fall, when the series begins. They will perform other tasks as needed.

    During my one month film internship on the set of Pottersville, I was an adaptable member of the crew, working mainly with the film's Sound Mixer and Boom Operator. I assisted in wrangling cable, keeping track of equipment, and facilitating connections between the cast & crew and the local community.

    As the 2013 Techno Teen scholarship winner, I collaborated with blog editors to write seven individual posts about my educational study adventure to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. My posts were used to promote the services People to People offers and discuss the advantages of going on an educational drip abroad. I also wrote a seventh post about the advantages to learning a second language.
