I began here as a volunteer in September 2016, assisting in a classroom 3 days a week. Then as the new GCSE came in, due to my knowledge of the new curriculum, I was offered a job as a full time Teaching Assistant. I continued in this role until July 2017 as I then went off to Brunel University to begin studying Mathematics at degree level. I predominantly worked with the year 11 higher sets. I ran small group interventions with the lower attaining students. I also voluntarily gave up my time on a Wednesday afternoon to run an after school revision session where I would go through the harder questions, breaking them down so that they were more accessible to the students. I also initiated the idea of school specific online resources page on the academy's website. Furthermore I also worked on building a brand identity for all lessons as to ensure continuity throughout all departments. I now work there as a Maths Tutor when I am back from university with small groups or individuals. In the summer of 2018 I also ran online interventions using self created resources and online resources such as MyMaths.
