Operations Manager for Arriva North East at Jesmond Depot. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of 65 buses and 187 drivers, 9 Supervisory Staff & 2 clerks providing local services to the residents of Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. I have sole responsibility to provide drivers and vehicles for Metro Replacement services when the local underground system is down for maintenance. Also responsible for the procurement of staff to supervise rail replacement coaches on behalf of Arriva Trains.Having previously been in the position of Deputy Depot Manager for Northumberland where I had responsibility for relieving and assisting depot managers at Ashington, Alnwick, Blyth, Hexham & Newcastle depots. In the Summer of 2012, I was seconded to T.G.M. Group to assist with the planning and operations of some 750 coaches and 1500 drivers working on the C.C.P. contracts for the 2012 London Olympic Games.Higly Commended at the 2015 UK Bus Awards for unsung hero.
