    The first chaplain hired at Vermeer in 2007. Developed and pioneered the position. Currently the lead chaplain that supervises three full-time chaplains, three part time chaplains, and chaplain assistant. We provide chaplain services to over 3700 employees in Pella, IA, three states SD, SC, FL, and several countries. Responsibilities include: Pastoral care, grief, and crises counseling. Referrals. Work place, home, hospital, and prison visits. Weddings and funerals. We work in coordination with the Health and Wellness group to encourage the overall fitness of mind, body, and spirit of our team members. Our chaplain team is an extension of Vermeer Corporation's 4P philosophy and caring culture.

    Preaching, teaching, administration, pastoral visitation and counseliing, visionary leadership. Led and worked with a dedicated group of leaders to redevelop and renew a 100+ year old congregation that grew from 60 to 300 in average worship attendance, and 300 to 600 in membership. Average age of membership went from 62 to 34. Developed small group ministry with upwards to 200 young adults. Helped lead and organize building projects including a family center, church remodel, and new parsonage. Initiated a mission emphasis for projects in Nicaragua, South Africa, and New Orleans.
