    As the Director of Charitable Giving I work hard to fulfill our vision, which is to, "Improve and enrich Utah communities by creating a platform of opportunity."In my first months at the foundation I initiated a project to formalize the foundations mission, vision and guiding statements. I also created a website through Squarespace for the foundation and coordinated with a designer to create a consistent brand and refine the website to look professional. Some of my responsibilities at the foundation are evaluating donation requests, meeting with nonprofit organizations, and coordinating with other foundations.

    I assisted the Music Director with planning and organizing events for various music programs.While in this position, I planned and organized a fundraising event for the Chamber Singers at Rio Tinto Stadium during a REAL Salt Lake game. We sold t-shirts for a month prior to the game, and we sold 300 tickets at a discounted price to Westminster students. 100% of the proceeds went to the Chamber Singers, who were raising money for their choir tour to Scotland and England.

    I was able to participate in a program that provided internship opportunities in Barcelona, Spain. I worked in a performing arts college that was just starting up and they were preparing for their first year. I assisted their secretary and worked in their human resources department. This experience taught me a lot in regards to how to organize and run a performing arts college, but I also learned a lot about the culture within Barcelona and appreciated being immersed in the culture.
