In 2020, the company expanded to Oakland. During my tenure as Director of Geekwise Oakland, which began 1 month prior to the COVID19 crisis, I hired 16 Black and Brown Bay Area residents for a paid coding apprenticeship, as well as used my network to identify job opportunities for participants upon completion of the apprenticeship.

In my role as Lead Instructor for the Freelancer Accelerator, I recruited, instructed and mentored 150 participants in a 6 week business course. Participants completed the program fully equipped to successfully launch their small businesses.
