    • Technical Team Leader in an upgrade project of 1800 UNIX Workstations for a new Ford C3P (CAD/CAM software) version. • Responsible for upgrading 1200 HP workstations. Installed latest Ignite software on 20 servers. • Upgraded Veritas Netbackup 3.4 patches on 25 servers and 2000+ clients. Rolled out binaries to all servers. Wrote UNIX shell scripts to automate the process. • Determined source of a major production problem that did not appear in the test or pilot phase and determined alternative options. Supported the systems upgrade.

    • Designed, built and deployed a Maximo Maintenance system, which involves an Oracle Database running on two Windows NT servers with 80 NT Clients. • Built and managed computers for two groups running Autocad 2000 and/or Unigraphics on SMP NT Workstations. • Also involved in an upgrade to Sun Solaris 7 on 1500+ engineering workstations. Standby support for all UNIX engineering workstations on the Pontiac Centerpoint Campus. • Evaluated a pilot program for future Maximo projects. • Configured and supported the SNA-TCP/IP gateway, which allowed local terminals to access a SNA corporate network. Configured CISCO routers for new clients. • Diagnosed and debugged errors in memory mapping with Cygwin open-source GCC compiler for Win32.
