    Through the City Manager, advise the organization on planning and implementing urban revitalization initiatives inclusive of synchronizing staff activities of project members and directing them towards achieving their individual and departmental goals. While implementing and monitoring staff activities which include COVID-19 recovery efforts, duties include, but are not limited to the following: develop procedures and implement policies; track multiple city projects or initiatives; ensure activities are executed in compliance with organizational policies and goals; prepare correspondence and supporting documents relating to the execution and administration of agreements; and distribute assignments to designated departmental staff as appropriate.

  • Advisor to the Mayor - Economic Development & Resiliency

    Advise the Mayor on strategic short and long term planning goals and objectives in the area of urban revitalization and resiliency. Serve as the Mayor’s chief liaison to the administration's executive team and city attorney’s office with respect to coordinating and implementing adopted objectives. Coordinating and implementing urban revitalization objectives include assisting entitlement applicants, particularly applications for affordable housing and large-scale multi-use development, with internal and external permitting. Resiliency objectives entail advising on a variety of administrative, technical and professional work in the preparation and implementation of efforts that address sea level rise and hurricane preparedness. In support of development and resiliency projects that are in line with the comprehensive plan, zoning ordinances and goals as established by the Mayor and City Commission, serve as a liaison for the Mayor in advocating for support from various local, State, and Federal agencies where applicable. Provide information and/or make presentations to boards, civic groups, businesses, individuals, and the general public.
