I started teaching art to children ages 18 months -5 years old about 2 years ago as a way to incorporate my love of painting and drawing into my professional life. I mostly use recycled products and provide an opportunity for children to use their imaginations while having fun. Additionally, I host Wine & Canvas events and host home parties. Teaching children, grades 1-8, how to tell their own story with art, images, narration, and video and have them see it come to life! They will ask themselves such things as – where am I from? what if I was an inanimate object? what would a cat say if I interviewed them? The process of creating digital stories builds confidence, teaches organization and detail sequencing while enhancing language and literacy skills, and is creative and fun. Children will create their very own digital story to keep and share with others.
