The Sebel Brand is Accor Hotels upscale apartment brand with locations across Australia and New Zealand. The Sebel Townhouse first opened its doors in 1963 in Sydney and since its inception has gained a following from its guests for its style and sophistication with a boutique feel and a personal experience like no other.In my role of General Manager for two properties in Auckland, The Sebel Auckland Viaduct Harbour and The Sebel Quay West Auckland, I was responsible for the overall management of 300 apartments across the buildings and 180 apartments in the hotel pool. The role involved my expertise in strata management and body corporate building management where I was involved in the overall building as the building manager working closely with the body corporate committee and chairperson at both properties.A key project during my time with Accor was the preparation and presentation of a new building management agreement for The Sebel Quay West Auckland.Prior to the role of General Manager I was Operations Manager at Novotel Manly, Sydney. During my time in this role I successfully covered leave as Acting General Manager at The Sebel Manly and this self-development opportunity assisted in my promotion to General Manager in Auckland with Accor Hotels.Accor Hotels offered a genuine culture that supported equality with a platform around women in business. Through this initiative I was actively involved in a number of ways; a leadership role model, involved with Women at Accor Hotels Generation and assisted a graduate with a thesis study around Women in Business and my personal experience and thoughts for the future.

Mantra Group is the largest Australian based hotel operator managing a portfolio of apartment hotels. In May 2012 I relocated to the Gold Coast from Sydney to commence the role of General Manager for one of the group’s largest hotels, Mantra Circle on Cavill. The property is a stunning development of two high rise apartment towers an inconic landmark in the resort area of Surfers paradise. The property offers multi use options in a 4.5 star contemporary resort with 260 hotel style apartments in a total property size of 650 apartments, extensive leisure facilities including 3 swimming pools, full gymnasium, entertainment room, private owner lounges for events and a private resident’s club lounge on level 48.Through my leadership I successfully engaged a team of over 100 employees to achieve 85% satisfaction in the employment engagement surveys.Created and implemented a full business strategy to turnaround the business to successfully achieve positive financial growth year on year.Project manager for the refurbishment of the strata apartments with our owners. Completed refurbishments to the value of over $2m across all apartments types; one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom, sub penthouse's and one full penthouse interior styling project.Key stakeholder management with the Body Corporate Committee in conjunction with the management of the Body Corporate Agreement.Mantra Group Property of the Year Award - 2013Mantra Group General Manager Finalist - 2014

I joined Rydges Hotels and Resorts as Executive Assistant Manager in Auckland, January 2010.The role of EAM was appointed at a critical stage during the hotel refurbishment project which included a new development / wing of the hotel.The role of EAM was a key leadership role whilst operating the existing hotel and supporting the pre-opening team to rebrand the property as Rydges Harbourview Auckland, a 4.5 star Hotel with 280 guest rooms, conference and event space including a roof top venue and new food and beverage restaurant and bar concept.Following on from the successful opening of the new hotel I transferred to Rydges Exhibition Street Melbourne as Executive Assistant Manager Jan 2011 working with the Area General Manager for VIC / SA / WA / TAS.Within 3 months in the role I was appointed various Acting General Manager roles to assist the Area General Manager with movements within the region.Hotel Manager - Rydges World Square, SydneyGeneral Manager - Rydges South Park, Adelaide General Manager - Rydges on Swanston, MelbourneGeneral Manager - Rydges Hobart, Tasmania
