      LATEST PROJECTSChildren’s Gallery redevelopment, Melbourne Museum (2014 – 2016). Redefining Melbourne Museum for a young family audience. Grounded in play-based learning, extensive audience engagement and evaluation has underpinned this large re-development which creates a unique museum experience of discovery and interaction for babies-5 year old children and their carers/educators. The project includes a significant design development of both inside and outdoor permanent gallery spaces, and planning for both front of house and back of house operating requirements.To achieve this Kathy coordinated a diversity of projects, staff and contractors - ranging from designers, landscape design/build; internal joinery build; contracted build of bespoke construction packages; 15+ multimedia projects; amenities upgrades inclusive of acoustic improvements and base building alterations; alongside museum activities such as object preparation and mount making. She led a team of 40+ staff and contractors to realise their specific projects.Scope 2000m2, Budget $5.8 million Think Ahead Exhibition, Scienceworks ( 2011-2013): Aimed at 8 – 12 year olds, this is a highly innovative permanent exhibition that imagines the future across a diversity of content areas ( transport, cities, space, health, environment etc) through sophisticated interaction and immersive experiences.This exhibition was achieved in a similar manner to described above with a special emphasis on multimedia projects (70+) and stakeholder relations with innovative science and technology partners.Scope 720m2, Budget 3.1 millionScience & Life Gallery redevelopment, Melbourne Museum (2007 – 2010): Four science exhibitions that explore the past, present and future through collection rich displays and innovative technology.
