    What great fun! I created operating processes and procedures Motherlode will use as they move from a very small craft distillery to much larger operation with the addition of an automated canning line. Canned ready-to-drink cocktails are all the rage, and Motherlode's are amazing. I staged operations, from ordering food products, to how a batch moves through the line with all the QA steps in place and validated. All cans in the wild must be traceable to the batch it was made from, and batches back to ingredient lots. Alcohol is a restricted substance and producing, moving and selling is reported to the government. After these manual processes are run for a while, Motherlode will be poised to move to ERP and know exactly what they need in customization. Lots to track, but as I owned a craft distillery and have a background in process, it was the perfect consulting project for me. Yes, I got to bring home lots of samples :)

    Worked with the UI/UX and development (both app and server-side) teams on a new product -- an epub content management and delivery system which pushes content into an epub3 compliant reader. The product features an invitation-based user model with Sony DRM content protection, and is currently in beta. Champion of Bluefire’s accessibility effort, working with W3C standards, WCAG 2.0 success criteria, and WAI-ARIA standards to understand accessible content, accessible software and accessible web, then communicate features to the development teams, and test accessibility features using the popular screen readers. I was a member of the A11y Task Force, working with other industry professionals to improve accessibility standards. As a pioneering member of Readium, Bluefire is a leader in the development of epub3 compliant ebook readers, contributing management and developer hours to help in a concrete way.

    Allovus specializes in staffing for technology. My work was primarily for Microsoft. I assembled and lead a 6-person content development team for Microsoft Advertising, including copy, plus advertising. Content was then localized and published to five regional sites. I designed and created content request and tracking tools using SharePoint on the team extranet, as well as training the team, and was ultimately responsible for all deadlines.

    Filter Studios produces large projects for technical companies. My projects were typically content heavy for Microsoft. Mentored several junior project managers while also managing projects. Led a 15-person team in the localized production of 18 three-minute animated tutorials for Vista RTM in 50 languages. I worked with the Windows Live Book Search team as a project manager focused on procuring content from publishers for the Live Search program. Designed a workflow system which tracked content from commitment to ingestion. Based on this system, we then worked with a CRM expert and created a custom Microsoft Dynamics solution for the project.
