    I have designed and written brand guidelines for use in the licensing industry for numerous television programmes such as Waybuloo, MasterChef and Deadly 60. As well as other licenses such as Mr. Men, Dragon's Den, Top Gear, St Trinians, Atari, Hornby/Airfix/Corgi to name but a few. As we do not have account handlers I have directly liaised with clients, external suppliers and managed other team members and freelancers on a daily basis. I have overseen many of the projects from start to finish working closely with the Creative Director.I have also worked as part of a team creating various different branding for a range of kitchen products for John Lewis, a confectioner and have been in charge of arranging opening events for a number of the brands above.Having designed branding, packaging and guidelines for the above brands as well as numerous others I now have a great understanding of how a brand works and how it can progress over a period of time.

    Having completed two weeks of work experience at Dirty in June 2005 I was asked to return after winning a place on the graduate placement scheme offered by UWE, this lasted three months. I was then asked to stay on permanently, progressing from Junior Designer to Design within a year. During my time at Dirty I became an important part of the team. Working with various clients such as Pan Macmillan, HA! HA! Bar and Canteen, Bristol City Council, Arnolfini, Colston Hall, The Orchid Group and First Capital Connect to name a few.Working within a small team has given me the opportunity to see a project through from start to finish, from liaising with clients and printers directly to the production of artwork files, checking proofs and press passing.

    I was solely responsible for the design and layout of the June 2005 National Trust newsletter for the Tyntesfield Estate. As well as following the project from design through to print, making amends and liaising with clients, working within a printers I gained invaluable knowledge about print production processes.

    As this was my first work experience I gained an invaluable insight into working in a company environment. I designed letterhead, business cards and compliments slips using Quark. I also attended meetings in London at EMI and a large Taxi Firm with the Creative Director and completed a communication training course in the short space of time that I was there.
