    Technician:Draper's Metallurgy Lab was responsible for analyzing the cause of failure of guidance system components. My duties included:Ordering necessary supplies, equipment and reagents for the laboratory's operations.Prepare and examine test specimens for both light and electron microscopy.Analyze specimens using light and electron microscopy, to determine cause of failure.Complex heat treatment, often of several days duration, in various gas atmospheres (including hydrogen). Performing mechanical and thermal testing; analyzing and presenting results to staff.Mechanical drawing.Calculating weight and balance, and center of gravity of complex components from the engineering drawings.Position required a CONFIDENTIAL and later a SECRET clearance.
