Alberta Municipalities' Sustainability Services has two programs that are helping municipalities reduce operating costs, and greenhouse gas emissions while improving building stock. I managed the marketing and communications for both programs. The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (mccac.ca) works with municipalities, schools and non-profits to achieve their sustainability goals. The Clean Energy Improvement Program (myCEIP.ca) is Alberta's version of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) which has recently launched in the Town of Rocky Mountain House, the Town of Devon, and the City of Edmonton.

As the green roof and walls industry's only association Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) provides Green Roof Professional (GRP) training, and continuing education courses for GRPs and members; two annual conferences (Grey to Green and CitiesAlive); publishes the quarterly Living Architecture Monitor; and develops and maintains strong relationships with association partners throughout North America. Responsible for leading marketing and branding initiatives, including: • Supported the growth of GRHC's business goals of increasing the awareness of the economic, social and environmental benefits of green roofs, green walls, and other forms of living architecture through education, advocacy, professional development and celebrations of excellence.• Developed and executed communication plans for two annual conferences: Grey to Green (Toronto, 2017) and CitiesAlive® (Washington, DC, 2016 and Seattle, 2017); attracting over 1,000 policy makers, architects, developers and city planners. • Provided exceptional client service by collaborating with association partners (members, industry media partners, associations, etc.), ensuring relationships were stronger and marketing efforts extended beyond existing assets into e-newsletters, advertorials, and digital ads.• Created revenue and attendance targets based on previous years' actuals and tracked weekly KPIs. Adapted marketing initiatives, member, speaker, and partner communication to ensure goals were met. • Facilitated stronger member engagement by re-branding/developing all of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities’ websites: greenroofs.org, greytogreenconference.org, citiesalive.org, and livingarchitecturemonitor.com.
