    Expression of Interest:The Fast IT & Telecommunications Emergency & Support Team – FITTEST - establishes and communications and services where they have been disrupted by disasters such as wars, earthquakes and floods. With nearly 20 years of experience in humanitarian emergencies, FITTEST is called upon by the entire United Nations and humanitarian community to respond in critical situations within 24 hours.FITTEST is a team of IT, telecommunications and electrical specialists from the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) who are experts in their respective fields. In addition to their practical knowledge and experience, because FITTEST arrive at the onset of an emergency, each team member is prepared for the often harsh and hostile situations that they are required to work in.This unique team is looking to expand and is seeking expression of interest from qualified candidates who are specialists in telecommunications - digital radio systems; data connectivity and hybrid - renewable power supply systems. Minimum requirements:• At least 7 years of experience in relevant field• University Degree or qualification certificates in relevant field• Excellent command of English language as well as knowledge of another official UN language, with preference given to French or Spanish. The candidate must have strong communication skills as well as the ability to work well - with limited or no supervision - in some of the world’s most challenging and hostile environments. The ability to handle multiple projects and meet aggressive timelines in very stressful environments is a must.
