    I assisted Pact’s newly awarded contract Zambia Integrated Health (ZIH) Team in the North western part of zambia to conduct a review of the data flow and data processing at selected Health Facilities. These reviews informed ZIH about common issues and challenges in the field related to data sources used and those related to transcribing data into electronic databases. Specifically, IConducted a qualitative review of data management systems and appropriateness of data-related SOP alignment and utilization (facility-level staff practice in relation to adherence to the national M&E / data management processes) I reviewed registers for availability, use, completeness and legibility. Quantified the availability of legible data for retrospective data entry into SmartCare.Conducted a data review on randomly selected data elements to validate data entry into Smart Care for Care and Treatment as well as HIV prevention variables of interest. I conducted informal interviews with staff from facilities to understand challenges related to HIV prevention service registers, including timely completing registers and data entry.
