    -Traceability of all Virology, Serology, NAT, TPHA (current and previous units) the positive units which must be destroyed or send to the plasma repository Laboratory in East Rand. -Validating new reagent shipments with regards to sensitivity of the reagents testing against known controls for Virology and Nucleic Acid Testing. -Validating specificity of new reagents batches by testing against known negative donors. -Compiling reagent lot disposition certificates and validation reports and so that they can be distributed to the two regional laboratories. -Monitoring of Elisa system by comparing mean control values by Assay, Batch, Instrument and Operator. -Reporting out of range deviations to the Quality and Projects Supervisor. -Generate Retest and Pre-test specimens. -Compiling and storing data of the British Working Standard for the different markers of Virology and how they perform on the Prisms. This is e-mailed by me to Britain. -Monitoring of Blood Typing systems performance by compiling statistics. -Monitoring QC charts and when there is an abnormality this is reported to the respective departmental supervisors. -Monitoring the different cold room temperatures and when there is an abnormality this is reported to the respective departmental supervisors. -Monitoring of the Elga systems for Blood typing, Virology, Miele Systems and Nat. -Sending weekly Microbiological water samples of the Elga systems to the Quality Laboratory. -Aliquot QC control for Donation Testing for inland region and East coast region. -Helping out in the Donation Testing (Virology, Serology, and the NAT laboratories) when there is a staff shortage. -As a second assessor, the Lead assessor often invites me to audit different sites per se Donor Clinics or different Laboratories.
