The primary objective of my role is to ensure that business objectives are met through an effective and driven Sales force and provide a fanatical level of proactive and reactive insight and analytics to assist the Marketing & Sales function in making key strategic decisions.Some of the responsibilities will include: - Management of a team of Area Sales Managers, Sales Engineers and Key Account Managers, setting targets and objectives and monitoring, motivating and coaching individuals to exceed expectations - Development, implementation and delivery of Sales Strategy through effective leadership of the Indirect and Direct Sales teams - Regular and thorough competitor analysis in order to maintain a competitive edge - Work with internal stakeholders to segment the customer portfolio and allocate clients to appointed Key Account Managers and Sales Engineers. - Review annual company sales targets and set appropriate targets at an Area Sales Manager level and to establish relevant review and reporting structures to effectively manage to this plan - Develop an Plan structure that supports my Sales Force in the development of a structured relationship management process with our client base that focuses on loyalty built on strong relationships - Proactively monitor sales to identify relevant trends and work with your own team and other internal stakeholders (Technical/Finance/Marketing/Customer Support etc.) to develop business appropriate tactical plans that can maximise sales delivery and client satisfaction - Monitor the quality and effectiveness of your Sales Engineers relationships and provide appropriate training and development to ensure continuous learning is achieved within your team
