    I completed an international secondment with BDO USA as a Senior Associate in their General Assurance team based in Manhattan.My roles and responsibilities involved coordinating the day-to-day "​in-charge"​ duties of planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up" to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. I was also responsible for acting as the client contact for questions and information.My client portfolio included global organisations which operated mainly in manufacturing and wholesale industries. This opportunity to work with and learn from the New York based audit and assurance team was of significant value.
