Peru Health and Air Quality II: Leveraging Earth Observations and Health Data to Map Outbreak Risk and Inform Public Health Interventions for Zoonotic Disease PreventionIdentified environmental variables amplifying risk of dengue fever and leishmaniasis in the Madre de Dios region of Peru. Created an R script which generates zoonotic disease outbreak risk matrices to visualize which districts are at risk based on population size and climatic, topographic, and land use land cover factors. Further visualized risk by scripting risk maps which correlate district disease incidence to health post location. Collaborated with three teammates, the Peruvian Ministries of Health and Environment, the Lab for EcoHealth and Urban Ecology at la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, el Instituto del Bien Común (IBC), la Comisión Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Aeroespacial (CONIDA), and la Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica (ACCA).
