Shift: The Commission on Work, Workers, and Technology
-
Apr 2016 - Apr 2018
Bloomberg Beta special initiative: Project managed and co-led a cross-functional team that brought together tech CEOs, business leaders, policy advocates, and cultural influencers to examine the impact of technology, particularly automation and artificial intelligence, on jobs and society across four thought leadership events in New York, New Orleans, Detroit, and San Francisco. The outcome included a year-long research report on how AI will impact work and workers in the U.S. in partnership with New America and Bloomberg (e.g. autonomous vehicles, robotics, AI services, migration, etc.)

I’m one of the founding members of Bloomberg’s West Coast Engineering office which opened in 2015 with the goal of engaging more directly and consistently with Silicon Valley’s technology community, hiring local talent, and raising awareness of Bloomberg as an advanced, mature technology innovator. I identified industry events, meetups and diversity partnerships for San Francisco Engineering that we could contribute meaningfully to and that elevate Bloomberg’s reputation as a technology leader and employer of choice among top tech talent.
