This program received national recognition from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and was replicated in several area health education centers (AHECs) nationwide.• Generated up to 50% of the annual $2.5 million operating budget for several years by creating a professional development business that trained hundreds of preK-12 educators from several school districts in the metropolitan Richmond area. • Hired, supervised, and coached a diverse staff of primary and secondary teaching professionals and professors from higher education institutions that gained national recognition for program excellence.• Solicited, recruited, and supported an active local board of directors. • Created several extraordinarily successful collaborative grant-funded ventures and strategic alliances by interacting courteously and professionally with a myriad representatives from federal, state, and local governments, corporations, and private and non-profit organizations; and primary, secondary, and higher education institutions across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
