Performed an experimental and numerical investigation into the effects of rotation on fluid flow, modelling geophysical processes. Experimental work performed on a large rotating tank facility (overall height 5.7m and 1.4m diameter, rotating up to 25RPM). Developed a fully automated, state-of-the-art visualisation system, allowing unique new features of the flow to be discovered.
