Solar Plants Ltd

Senior Sales Specialist

My first role at Solar Plants was that of Lead Generator. My role was to work in collaboration with our Sales Representatives to identify and advise potential customers across the U.K who we believed would significantly benefit from solar technology. After six weeks of sourcing valuable leads, I was promoted to an in-house Junior Sales Advisor. This role would provide a challenge as it would require me to utilise a different skillset entirely. The role required me to contact potential customers who’d initially shown interest but, for one reason or another, decided against adopting solar technology at their property. As a Sales Advisor, I would outlie further benefits that may not have been previously considered, ensuring that the customer had all the information necessary to conclude their decision. The role required me to work closely with the Sales Representatives, organising visits with customers around their schedules. Six months of success as Sales Advisor would lead to Solar Plants placing me at the head of a new department, selling a newly developed product: Solar Plants’s Biomass Boiler division. This newly created role would require me to assess the homes of our existing customers using Google Maps and identify whether they would be suited to the new product. Those customers with properties that fit the profile would then be contacted by myself. I would explain the benefits of the boiler system, and how, like solar energy, they were a worthwhile investment in helping to reduce their bills and carbon footprint. My final role at Solar Plants would be that of Senior Sales Advisor (Solar division). My most senior role at Solar Plants, the position involved me presenting and advising potential customers on the product entirely over the phone. The seniority of the position meant that I would be responsible for delivering the sales targets for a small team of three.
